In August 2008, the Dumfries High School fundraising commitee decided to support SEG for the next academic Year.

This will provide a significant source of additional funds to the charity as " 50% of the money raised" will be given to SEG to financially support children in their education.

In July 2008, Supporting Education in Ghana fully funded:

1. Dell Laptop Computer (LP4 Package instead of (LP3 Package)

 2. HP Desk jet (F4180 All - in - one printer, Scanner, Copier) instead of HP Laser Jet Printer 1018) from INTU - IT Partnership with Ghana ministry of Education

Rev. J. H. Ofosuhene, on the right handside of the picture,  is the District Director of Education for the Ashanti region and has officially presented the laptop to Feller Alex Tawiah (program director) on behalf of Supporting Education in Ghana.

This laptop will help Feller Alex Tawiah with the selection process involved for allocating the SEG scholarship to the most needy children

In March 2008, Robert  Gardner (SEG Funder and Director) and  Franck Chevalier (Managing Trustee) went to the Ashanti Region to visit the families that had received some help from SEG.

This trip was organised with a view to expand the charity and to set up all necessary processes to allow more children to benefit from SEG action.
